Honey x Lemon

Honey Lemon Drink.

This is pretty much a blend of my two favorite natural ingredients: honey & lemon. A very simple drink mixture but if you do drink this habitually, you're gonna even get a lot of grand advantages for your body.

Honey bees transform nectar into honey by a process of regurgitation and evaporation. They store it as a primary food source in wax honeycombs inside the beehive.
In addition to being a great natural sweetener, honey has a multitude of benefits that many people don’t know about.  Have you ever had an unrelenting sore throat? Honey has been proven to be a natural throat soother! Are you an athlete looking for a natural energy boost before the big game? Honey’s unique blend of natural sweeteners gives it the ability to provide quick energy in any circumstance. This section of the Web site will allow you to further explore these and other benefits of honey, and will also be a source for nutrition facts on this pure, natural sweetener. - 1
Even though its too much to sum up, here are some benefits from honey:

  • Natural sweetener
  • Natural energy (*honey is a source of carbohydrates, providing 17 grams per tablespoon, which makes it ideal for your working muscles since carbohydrates are the primary fuel the body uses for energy)
  • Skin care (*it moisturizes perfectly)
  • Cough suppressant (*A 2007 study by a Penn State College of Medicine research team found that honey may offer parents an effective alternative to over-the-counter cough medicine. The study found that a small dose of buckwheat honey given before bedtime provided better relief of nighttime cough and sleep difficulty in children than no treatment or dextromethorphan (DM), a cough suppressant found in many over-the-counter cold medications.)
As for me personally, where else you can find any sweet things and it has a good benefits for your body? No sugar added too, please note that one is very important (teehee).

People use lemons to make lemonade by mixing lemon juice and water. Many people also use lemon as a washing agent, because of its ability to remove stains. The scent of lemon can also repel mosquitoes, while drinking lemon juice with olive oil helps to get rid of gall stones. Lemon is well known for its medicinal power and is used in many different ways. - 2.
If I can mention these health benefits from lemon, they are good for your: indigestion, skin care, hair care, fever, dental care, burns, internal bleeding, weight loss, respiratory disorders, throat infections, high blood pressure.
Naturally i have this oily kind of face skin. Everytime i google about what mask should i use to suppress the oil amount, i can't find none of them leaving lemon behind. Because its very good to make your skin less oily and minimize the pores. Same thing goes with your hair treatment; if you have this kind of oily hair that makes you annoyed because it will go oily not so long after you feel clean about it, try lemon treatment.

I am using these two ingredients often since i bake, and combining these two into one drink probably one of my favorite drink ever!

Recipe:
1 1/2 tbsp lemon
1 tbsp honey
1/2 cup water (preferable hot water)

*double this recipe if needed

Oily to Oil-less Face

Ever tired of having an oily kind of face? If you're answer is a yes hope this post can help you find a way out somehow.

Call this as a product review that I've been wearing for three months now, i am wearing L'occitane Angelica series and the result is something that make you feel worth it, like you're investing your face on the right products.

"If you have an oily face especially, you have to be concern on your cleansing product, thats first to remember. Because when you forget to clean or lazy to do it diligently, don't get mad on whatever products you're wearing, because its your own lack, your own risk."

I find this statement is make sense, because when you have an oily skin, or in the other words you have big pores kind of skin, its very easy for bacterias, or any dirty little things to go in and yes they're one of the reason why acnes come to your face. Another thing that is important is to find the right cleansing product. I was trying some cleansing products and found it also important to find one which is not "that strong" because oily skin its a sensitive skin as well in some ways. If i may give you some advice: look for one that contains "water" as the main product ingredients and avoid those that has this or that chemical parts much more than the herbal one. In the other words, yes i am pro-herbal products! :)

Before this one, I also recommend, L'oreal Hydrafresh you might find it hard to find, but L'oreal official stall always have one. Back to the business, as they already announced it to the world, yes L'occitane products are all herbal. I found myself a bit tired of changing products here and there but now i am relieved that i found the right one for my face.

Cleansing Steps (left-right):
- Shea Milk Cleanser (night only) - to reduce red dots effects/pimples scars
- I am adding Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil (for Oily Skin) if i put some make up that day. This product is also very recommended, no wonder they put it as one of their best product to sell.
- Angelica Cleansing Foam
- Angelica Cleansing Toner
- Angelica Serum
- Angelica Moisturizer

*if you're confused which one to buy first for you to try, always starts with the cleansing.

Also once you turned herbal, try not to put any chemical things to your face (i don't even use pimple cream or any cream. just don't touch your pimples with bare hands or scrub it because it could make it worse). This might be one of those products that will suit well with your oily skin, not saying that this is the one and only, find yours and you'll feel relieved! :)
If i can suggest how to make it even better: is by changing the way you eat and live. Eat clean and reduce eating those with a lot of oil is not a joke or another booming lifestyle. And not to forget, do NOT stress out in life! It affects your face and body more than you could ever think and expect.
Stay happy and always stay happy! For the sake of your face? I shall say, "YES"! :)

PRIMER vs FACE SERUM vs FOUNDATION vs BB CREAM

Primer, face serum, and BB Cream are categorized as preparing products before applying foundation, or a compact powder.

Primer :
Makeup primer is one of those beauty secrets that can make a big difference in the look and wear of your makeup. It preps your skin for makeup and creates a smooth base that makeup can adhere well to. If you’ve tried a foundation that looks fantastic on a friend or a model in a magazine only to be disappointed with the results, using makeup primers can make a big difference. Even if you are happy with the foundation you are currently using, a layer of cosmetics primer underneath can bring it to a whole new level.

Face Serum :
A face serum is a clear, thick, liquid beauty product often formulated to target a specific problem. Some people use them to help reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and dark spots, while others choose formulas that help prevent acne and brighten the skin.

Foundation :
Foundation is a skin coloured cosmetic applied to the face to create an even, can manage your skin colour to the complexion, to cover flaws, and, sometimes, to change the natural skintone.

BB Cream :
BB cream is all-in-one facial cosmetic product to replace serum, moisturizer, primer, foundation, and sunblock. It can be worn alone as a tinted moisturizer, over serum and moisturizer as a regular foundation, and under powder, depending on the desired amount of coverage.

In brief, BB Cream also contains the primer, face serum, and primer. There are some BB Cream containing primer, serum and moisturizer but separate foundation. Personally, I prefer BB Cream that contains no foundation because we can use our favorite foundation in accordance with the specific colors and textures to suit our skin.
"I recommend to choose BB Cream and primer with an SPF especially if we are living in Indonesia. Besides being able to prevent black spots that are really nasty, also gives us a sense of secure feeling despite being under direct sunlight." J

My Top Beauty Products:

This thing works nicely but I don’t know why I don’t feel really attached with BB Cream so this is the only BB Cream I tried and prefer using moisturizer, primer, sunblock, etc based on my needs because I can combine all of the products from any brands that can work well at their specific products.
That is my personal opinion, you can try and figure it out by yourself what pleased if you rather using one by one preparing products or prefer BB Cream for more practical, etc. Take your time and enjoy it!

Eyelids DIY

As a Asian girl who has Asian type of eyes, I have to be honest I am glad to find this thing on YouTube a while ago.
Until now, to make a perfect eyeliner both for my right and left eyes, at least i need 5 minutes to do it. Because my eye lids isn't the same (i think almost everyone have a same problem with this). But more, if i had to close my eyes for some events, people will see that i put different size of eyeliner. And that is not cool, at all.
I don’t like eye scotch so I don’t even have a thought to use it. For you guys who are using it, no offense okay, I just don’t like it and that’s my opinion, if you still want to use it go ahead :) Or maybe you want to change your line to this.
This thing is called, "Eye Talk" and yes the function is to make eyelids for yourself.

And I am going to share how it's working for me and maybe working for you too:

  1. My usual eyes, very light eye lids, almost none to see
  2. With that little fork (you'll have it as a set when you buy Eye Talk) start to make a line, where do you want to make your eye lids. Don't pinch it too hard, it's just for you to see the line right after that.
  3. Then apply your eyelid along that line. Wait 2-3 mins until it gets a bit dry. The hints for you to know it starts to dry is when the white line starts to go transparent and looks like a light glue line.
  4. Use your fork again to gentle push along the line. It might be a little sticky, but keep doing it until you're finished.

The texture

Compared to my usual eye (look at pict 1) this is what i just made!

For your information, once you put this on, it could last more than 1 day. And if you diligently put this thing everyday, they say it could make your new eyelids permanent. Want to give a shot? ;)

Eye Talk available in all SOGO Department Stores, with price less than 150K.
